About the Class:
Creating ideas, solutions and tangible objects is a basic human need.
Creativity dwells inside all of us, waiting to be summoned. In this class you will develop a new understanding of the many ways to express your creative spirit. Each monthly session will focus on a specific facet of creativity inspired by a yoga principle or pose. In each class you will write, move, play, and engage in simple, open ended art activities. Emphasis is always placed on the process, rather than the product. The intention is to feel that you are "in the flow", embracing your inner child, and able to view the world from a different point of view.
No "adulting" allowed!

November 17 — Mountain Pose: Recognizing authenticity, developing resilience
You are unique. Nobody else will draw, write, sing or dance like you. We will manifest our quirks through formulated writing, visual assemblies and movement. A quick review of famous “rule breakers” will inspire you to stay true to who you are. Our hands-on project will give you on opportunity to build a mini sculpture using shapeable materials.
About the Facilitator:
Deborah Alsko is an artistically challenged, but creative soul. Deborah is a retired elementary teacher who can see the possibilities in everyone. She is also a storyteller, recreation facilitator and water aerobics instructor. Her creative super power is making things from found/upcycled objects.
