Did you know that the Living Water Community Center campus is a bee sanctuary? We prioritize native trees and a natural setting. It's like a small, carefully curated park, and you are welcome to walk through or picnic anytime you like!
And, on Saturday, October 28th, we are delighted to be able to expand this natural space by planting trees and shrubs both here on the campus and along some of the surrounding streets. We have received grant funds for trees, and we are starting right away!
Planting trees takes many hands, and we'd be grateful for any time you'd like to spend with us that morning! We'll be planting from 9 am until 1 pm, and you are welcome for an hour or for the morning. Wear comfortable clothing and bring gloves if you have some you like. We provide the tools, the trees, and the tree wisdom. (Thanks, Richmond Tree Stewards!) We also suggest bringing water and a snack (and there are picnic tables all over our campus for picnics).
If you need to document volunteer hours, sign up with CFEngage, otherwise, just show up! We'll be delighted to see you
